About the Staff Painting Class I in Green Bay
Carrie Schmechel - owner
Palette and Pub is an independent, locally owned business started in 2014 in Green Bay, WI. The owner, Carrie Schmechel, grew up in the area, but moved away for almost 15 years to pursue work opportunities. Desiring to be closer to family and to start her own business, she decided to move back home and do something she's always had a knack for; art. She got the idea for Palette and Pub while living in Grand Rapids, MI where she attended similar painting classes and fell in love with the business. Carrie couldn't be more excited about bringing a trendy, new activitiy to the area and looks forward to providing a different option instead of the typical night out.
Joining Carrie on staff are local artists who will share their talents with you.
Pete Koronowski - Instructor
Pete Kornowski has been drawing, painting, or building something throughout most of his life. Self taught and still always learning in a variety of mediums, Pete's acrylic paintings have become large scale in recent years, most notably his custom murals at Rosati's Restaurant and Lloyds Guitar Shop in Green Bay, WI. Pete has a casual approach to painting, allowing for finished pieces to come to life on their own. "For me, the joy is in the process…making mistakes, making changes and watching a piece of art come to life right in front of you, seeing that happen is the best part!" More of Pete's work can be viewed at petekornowski.com.
